Editorial trust & transparency
Editorial policy
How we separate evidence, opinion and commercial relationships.
Evidence before conclusions
Editors must distinguish direct observation, information supplied by a vendor and independent judgment. Material claims require a source or documented test. A vendor's marketing statement must not be presented as a result we independently achieved. We do not publish fabricated testimonials, ratings, customer counts or performance claims.
Commercial relationships
Affiliate relationships may help fund this publication. Commission availability or size must not decide an editorial verdict. Editors must disclose relevant commercial relationships. A product can be included editorially even when no affiliate agreement is active. A relationship does not grant a merchant editorial control over a review.
Review and updates
Editors should review important claims and merchant terms before publication and revisit them when new evidence becomes available. Material corrections should explain what changed. Research previews must remain labelled and excluded from search indexing until they meet the publication standard.
